Zoo!!!!!

k so we went to the zoo and saw the baby elephant! it was so awesome! lol. we also went on the train and it was super cold!

My First Pie!

Today I was really bored and I decided to make a pie! The pie turned out really god if i do say so myself. mom says that i have to make it for thanksgiving now...I got a crust recipe off of all recipes.com along with a recipe for the ingredients. I used mixed Marionberries and boysenberries instead of blackberries and the crust was super easy to make. mom was trying to get me to use a pre made one so i wouldnt mess it up but it turned out great! im so proud of myself. lol. Heres the recipe so you can try it:

Crust (doubled ):

1 egg

6 tablespoons of sugar

2 pinches of salt

3 cups of flour

1 cup of butter

Directions:

mix egg and sugar in small bowl. In separate bowl combine salt and flour. soften butter until slightly melted and put into bowl with salt and flour. add in egg mixture. knead dough into 2 smooth balls and put in refridgerator for 15 min.

heat the oven to 450 degrees F

Filling:

4 cups of berries (thawed)

3 tablespoons of flour

1 cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)

Directions:

after dough is ready, grease a 9 inch pie pan. Roll one of the dough balls to about 1/8 the of an inch and line the bottom of the pan.

Mix all of your ingredients for the filling in a bowl and then spoon into the pie crust.

take the other ball of dough and roll the same as the bottom crust and lay ontop of the pie. cut slits throughout the top.

Bake the pie for 15 minutes then reduce the heat to 350 untill golden brown (should take around 10 minutes) then cool and enjoy!

Shirts!

K. So for Girl's Camp, Tenley, Mandy and I made Disney Princess shirts because the camp theme was Princess Academy. Tenley was

Princess Belle, Mandy was Princess

Aurora, and I was Princess Ariel

(chosen for their hair color). First we went to Michaels and got shirts and later went to my house to tie die (thanks to mandy's tie dye kit) then decorated at Tenley's house and my house. On the front was the title of the movie the princess was in, on the back was their name and an item that represented them, I did the items and writing. On Tenley's shirt we drew (traced. lol) a rose, Mandy's was a magic wand and mine as you can tell in the picture was a sea shell and triton. I took the pictures of tenley's and mandy's before mine was finished. :( Camp was so much fun and 4th year pictures and camp pics will be coming soon!

4th of July!!

4th of July was a blast! We had a bbq with our cousins and then went to a friend's house to watch the fireworks that come from the high school. It was really great to be with the family.

It's Me!! This is 1994 and im about 2-3 years old! Wow that it a long time ago! i just thought it would be fun to put some old pics up!

All right! Its fathers day after church! Dad got the usual, chocolate covered raisens, peanut m&ms and licorice. Of course we didnt know until day of cuz it was a suprise from us that we couldnt know about...umm that made no sense. anyways im sure you've had an experience like that before. It happens at Christmas too...

so yeah, Fathers Day woo hoo!

This is my sis Emily. Shes 10 years old, almost 11! Shes going to be in 6th grade at Twality Middle School! I cant believe that shes in middle school now! I kinda wish we were closer in age so that we could go to school together. anyways, this is during one of her softball games, i think its her second year doing it and she is pretty dang good! So yeah watch out all you other wimpy softball players, she come and get yah!

ok...dont ask, i was sitting on the couch waiting for a friend to pick me up and all of a sudden the photo monster aka my mom ,CAME OUT AND GOT ME!!! I dont know whats up with all the blondeness but its not my real color i am a true redhead, so dont freak out! lol. anyways that shirt is too small in the shoulders and hopefully you will never see me in it again. sorry the first couple pictures are scary, actually they all are!

well, actually this wasn' summer yet but a couple weeks before. dont pay attention to the date, my camera is really weird, just like me! lol. anyways these are like the best 1st cousins once removed! at least i think thats what they are, they are some sort of cousin none the less!
